About
Me
Hello,
my name is Betty Memmer. I
am the Director of Education and Community Outreach for a family
planning agency in Lafayette, and I have been employed there since
1986. I
am a graduate of Purdue University with a B.A. Degree.
I
have had a lifelong love for animals. I owned many dogs and cats
throughout my childhood and growing up years. I've also owned several
dogs, cats, parakeets, rabbits and one African Clawed Frog as an
adult. I owned a half Arabian gelding for a short time many years
ago, and a dual registered palomino quarter horse mare for more
than one year, recently.
I showed
dogs for a few years in the 1980s and considered becoming a professional
dog show handler. I finished, or put points on, four Pugs and whelped
several Pug litters. I also raised two litters of Irish Setters
and showed Irish Setters briefly, but never finished any of them.
During these years, I was also a member of the Greater Lafayette
Kennel Club and assisted with the AKC show the kennel club had each
year.
I currently
own a Wirehaired Fox Terrier, and a beautiful rescued Himalayan
mix cat. Rollie and Tango are great pets. Rollie is a very lovable,
lively little dog. He has the typical terrier personality and seems
to believe that he can take on the entire world. Tango is adorable,
but often gets into things - a typical curious kitty. Rollie and
Tango get along sometimes, but Rollie often likes to chase Tango.
This creates lots of noise and confusion, as you might guess. Needless
to say, Rollie and Tango provide me with many laughs, great company,
and lots of joy!
I
decided to take my love for animals a step further, and started
the Pet Nannie Pet Care service in 1999 to allow me to keep in contact
with, and provide loving care to a wide variety of animals. I have
enjoyed providing this service, and I hope to continue being the
Pet Nannie for many years to come. Please tell your pet owner friends
about my service if you become a satisfied Pet Nannie customer.
Thanks for allowing me the privilege of caring for your wonderful
pet(s). They will be treated like stars with me, and you can rest
assured that I will lovingly care for your beloved animal companions
while you are away.
Sincerely,
Betty
